Destiny Cooper

Destiny Cooper (she/her) is a performer, harmonizer, conductor and educator based in Boston, MA. Destiny attended Westminster Choir College where she received her BM and MME in Music Education. Since moving to Boston, she has been a Middle School Choral Director and Conductor for Boston Children's Chorus since 2018. She has been actively involved in the Circlesinging community, leading vocal workshops, community sings and performing as a co-founder of the vocal improvisation group The Backyard Collective. She is passionate about getting students thinking creatively in their music-making; through improvisation, Circlesinging and songwriting; presenting her work to other educators at Nafme and ACDA conferences throughout the East Coast. She is an active ICCA's judge and choral clinician and has been invited to work with many Junior Honor Choirs in New England.
