Max Addae
Group Director

Max Addae (he/him) is an award-winning vocal arranger, vocalist, and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. He holds degrees in Computer Science and Music Technology from Oberlin College & Conservatory, as well as a Master’s degree from the MIT Media Lab. While at MIT, he served as Music Director of Upper Structure, a pop/R&B a cappella group from Berklee College of Music, who went on to receive first place at the 2023 Los Angeles A Cappella Festival (LAAF) under his leadership. His arrangements have been performed by several scholastic & professional groups across the country, and he has received several awards from the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs). He currently serves as the Bass & Co-Music Director of the NYC-based professional group, Backtrack Vocals, and regularly performs with Broadway Goes A Cappella and New York Vocal Collective.
